Meet The Artist: Rohsni Ahuja

The student behind the Rotunda illustration in our Grounds for Giving logo.

Roshni Ahuja is a fourth-year student double majoring in Architecture and Astronomy.

Her love for art began at home, inspired by her mother’s paintings and the detail and beauty she saw in them. In fourth grade, she made her first painting alongside her mom.

“Once I started, I never stopped,” Roshni shared.

Years later, that interest took her to Vicenza, Italy, where she studied observational drawing with a focus on traditional architecture. When she returned to UVA, she wanted to continue practicing those skills so she drew the Rotunda.

That drawing now appears in the Grounds for Giving logo, bringing a fellow fourth-year’s creativity to our class campaign.

While the Rotunda’s pediment is one of her favorite architectural details to draw, Roshni has always especially enjoyed drawing trees for the creative freedom they offer.
